Web Designing and Web Developing are two major fields of internet. Both helps to develop a website and enhances its usability. So, people often get confused and start using these words interchangably. But, both of these terms are quite different. While a web designer focuses on customer-facing part of website, web developer take care of the back-end.
To make it more clear to you…
A web designer creates layout of a website which looks more attractive to user. He tries to make website more user-friendly so that customer can easily interact and navigate around the website. He uses software like Photoshop, Gimp, visual web designing software such as Dreamweaver or web tools like web design software by 1&1.
A web developer makes use of programming languages to make the site work. He knows PHP, JavaScript and other programming languages, he knows how to work with CGI, SQL databases etc. and by making use of these skills, he adjusts how the customers get things done on a website.
Those people who already know the difference still have confusion about the scope, workload, success about both of these fields.
